Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Ringl’s websites, applications, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of service
Ringl provides AI-powered call answering and receptionist tools for businesses (“you”, “the business”), including features such as missed-call recovery messaging, an AI voice receptionist that can qualify enquiries and take details, appointment booking with a connected calendar, call logs with transcripts and summaries, and related dashboard settings. Features available to you depend on your plan, configuration, and whether you have completed setup steps such as call forwarding or calendar connection.
The Service is designed for you to handle calls from your own customers and prospects (“callers”). Ringl is not a party to the commercial relationship between you and your callers.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you create an account on behalf of a company or other organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and “you” includes that organisation.
Account responsibilities
You must provide accurate account and business information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@ringl.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
Because the AI receptionist relies on the information you configure — such as services offered, hours, pricing guidance, greetings, and knowledge you supply — you are responsible for keeping that content accurate and for reviewing how the AI represents your business.
Subscription, billing, and cancellation
Paid access is billed on a recurring basis through the mobile app store or billing channel you use to subscribe. By starting a paid Pro subscription, you authorise recurring charges at the then-current rate until you cancel. Applicable taxes may be added by the billing channel.
If a renewal payment fails, paid features may be suspended until you update your payment details in the App Store (or other billing channel you used). Status in the app may show a payment issue while access is restricted.
You may cancel future renewals at any time via the subscription management controls provided by the store on your device, or through any in-app billing management links we provide, or by contacting support@ringl.app. Cancellation stops future renewals at the end of the current billing period. Unless required by applicable law or the store’s own refund rules, fees already charged for a billing period are non-refundable, including if you cancel mid-period or stop using the Service before the period ends.
We may change subscription prices. For price increases that apply to your existing paid plan, we will give at least 30 days’ notice (for example by email or in-app notice) before the new price takes effect for you. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price; if you do not agree, you may cancel before it applies.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
use the Service for unlawful purposes, or to violate telecoms, privacy, marketing, or recording laws that apply to you; use the Service to spam, harass, defraud, or deceive callers; attempt to overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or circumvent security or usage limits of the Service; upload or instruct the AI to communicate unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content; or resell or provide the Service to third parties as a competing platform without our prior written consent. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, suspected fraud, or risk to callers, other customers, or our infrastructure.
AI limitations and business responsibility
The AI receptionist is an automated system. It may misunderstand speech or intent, miss details, suggest incorrect times, create booking errors, fail to capture information accurately, or end a call without completing the outcome you expected. Network conditions, caller accents, background noise, and incomplete configuration can all affect results.
You remain solely responsible for reviewing call summaries, transcripts, and bookings; confirming critical details with customers where accuracy matters; and supervising how the AI represents your business. Ringl does not guarantee that every call will be handled correctly, that every booking will be accurate, or that every missed call will be recovered.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ringl is not liable for business losses arising from AI errors, missed or mishandled calls, incorrect or failed bookings, inaccurate summaries, or reliance on AI output without your verification.
Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available and work with reasonable skill and care, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Telephony networks, internet connectivity, voice AI infrastructure, calendar providers, and other dependencies can fail or degrade outside our control.
Where you configure a fallback number, Ringl may attempt to forward or divert calls to that number in certain failure or overflow situations to reduce impact. Fallback behaviour is not guaranteed in every circumstance — for example if no fallback number is set, if configuration is incomplete, or if the underlying network or provider cannot complete the divert.
Data and privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of how we operate the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that callers to your business are informed about AI handling and call recording as required by applicable law in your jurisdiction, and for using call content in a lawful way.
Intellectual property
Ringl and its licensors own the Service, including software, design, branding, and documentation. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal business purposes while your account is in good standing. You retain ownership of your business content and customer data you submit or collect through the Service. You grant Ringl a licence to host and process that content solely to provide and improve the Service as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription as described in section 5, and you may request account deletion in the app (Account → Delete my account) or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately or on notice if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, abuse the Service, or create legal or security risk. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by nature should survive (including sections on AI limitations, liability, intellectual property, and governing law) will survive.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ringl and its operators, officers, and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost bookings, lost goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the total fees you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately before the claim arose (or, if you have not paid fees, £50).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that may apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example by email or in-app notice). Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
